Giant Freestanding Letters, Logos and Word Sculptures

Giant letters and logos stand on the ground, not on a wall. Think of a brand name spelled out in letters taller than a person at a mall entrance, a logo sculpture at a launch, or a word such as a hashtag or place name that visitors gather around for photos. They work as landmarks, meeting points and photo spots at once.

If you need dimensional letters fixed to a wall or fascia, see 3D letter signage instead. Freestanding letters raise different questions: they must be stable on their own, safe if people lean on them and practical to transport. Outdoor sites also need to consider wind and sun. Send your logo and the site, and we'll discuss size and build.

Typical applications

  • Event and festival landmarks

Oversized words or logos at entrances and central meeting points.

  • Mall and retail destinations

Freestanding brand names in atriums or outdoor plazas.

  • Launch and opening centrepieces

A logo sculpture that marks a new store, venue or development.

  • Seasonal and civic words

Greetings, hashtags or place names for holidays and public celebrations.

What we need to quote

  • Logo or the word to be spelled, in vector format
  • Height you have in mind and the available space
  • Indoor or outdoor, and the surface they'll stand on
  • Whether the letters should be lit
  • How long they'll stay and whether they'll travel

Questions

Can people sit on or climb giant letters?

Only if they're designed and built for it. Letters meant to be climbed need stronger construction, wider bases and tougher finishes. If you expect visitors to interact that way, tell us at the start.

How are freestanding letters kept stable outdoors?

Usually with weighted bases, ballast or fixing to the ground where the site allows. Wind exposure affects the design, so share photos of the location and the surface the letters will stand on.
