Retail Mall Kiosks and Merchandising Units (RMUs) for Selling
A retail kiosk, sometimes called an RMU (retail merchandising unit), is a small shop without walls. It has to display stock attractively, give staff a counter and a till point, lock everything away at night and look good from every side, all within a footprint the mall has already fixed.
Malls usually publish design criteria covering height, materials, lighting and signage, and the kiosk may need landlord or mall approval before it's built. We'll flag what to check and help you prepare the details they ask for. Share the mall's guidelines, your product range and how many staff will work the kiosk.
Typical applications

Seasonal trading units
Kiosks for a fixed trading period such as a festive season or holiday market.
Service points
Kiosks for repairs, subscriptions or customer sign-ups that need a counter and seating.

Questions
What's the difference between a retail kiosk and a promotional kiosk?
A retail kiosk is built to trade every day for months, with storage, a till point and lockable displays. A promotional kiosk is lighter and temporary, made to support a campaign rather than run as a shop.
Why do malls ask for kiosk drawings before approval?
Malls want kiosks in common areas to match their look and stay safe for shoppers. Drawings let them check height, materials, lighting and sightlines. We'll flag what's usually requested.
Can a kiosk be moved to another mall later?
It can be designed with that in mind, but each mall has its own criteria, so changes may be needed. Mention it early if relocation is likely.
