Giant Product Replicas and Scaled-Up Product Models

A giant version of your product is hard to ignore. Oversized bottles, cans, boxes, phones or food items draw attention in malls, shop windows and events, and they give people something to photograph. This page is about replicas of real products; for themed props and other set pieces, see custom props.

Replicas are usually built to look right rather than to be solid, so the key questions are size, how close people will get, whether it will be touched and how it will travel. Send clear product photos from every side along with dimensions, and we'll discuss how to recreate it.

Typical applications

  • Product launches

A scaled-up version of the new product as the centrepiece of a launch event.

  • Window displays

Eye-catching replicas that stop people walking past a shop.

  • Mall and roadshow activations

Props that give visitors something to interact with and photograph.

  • Stage and film props

Custom props for presentations, shoots and themed events.

What we need to quote

  • Clear photos of the product from every side
  • Real product dimensions and the target replica size
  • Packaging artwork files, if the label needs reproducing
  • Indoor or outdoor, and whether people will touch it
  • How long it needs to last and whether it will travel

Questions

How accurate will a replica be?

Replicas are built to read clearly at the intended viewing distance. Very fine details may be simplified. Tell us how close people will get and we'll set expectations before we start.

Can people sit on or lean against a prop?

Only if it's designed for that from the start, with a stronger structure and a tougher finish. Let us know if a prop is meant to be interactive.

Can replicas be stored and reused?

Yes, if they're kept dry and protected from knocks. Foam props in particular should be stored away from direct heat. We can talk through packing for storage.
