Metal Signs and Plaques in Steel, Aluminium and Brass Finishes
Metal signs feel permanent. Brushed steel, painted aluminium or brass finishes suit building entrances, hotels, law firms, clinics and anywhere the sign should read as part of the architecture rather than an add-on. They're a common choice where a sign is expected to stay in place for many years.
Each metal has trade-offs. Polished surfaces glare in direct sun and show fingerprints, some finishes darken over time, and heavier sheets need stronger fixings. Tell us the setting and the look you're after, and we'll talk through which metals and finishes are practical.

Questions
Will a metal sign rust or tarnish?
It depends on the metal and finish. Stainless steel resists rust well, but coastal air can still affect it over time. Brass naturally darkens unless it's coated. We'll talk through care expectations.
Is a polished or brushed finish better?
Brushed finishes hide fingerprints and reduce glare, so they're easier to live with. Polished finishes look striking but need more cleaning and can be hard to read in direct sun.
Can metal signs include our brand colours?
Yes, through painting, powder coating or colour infill in etched areas. Tell us your brand colours and we'll confirm which methods suit the design.
