Photo Opportunity Installations: Selfie Walls, Frames and Set Pieces
A photo opportunity installation is built to be photographed. It might be a flower wall with your logo, a giant frame, a themed set with oversized props or a neon-style phrase on a textured backdrop. What makes it work is what shows up in the photo: the brand needs to appear in the frame without taking over, and people should look good standing in it.
Plan it from the camera's point of view. Where will people stand, how many will pose together, and will it mostly be shot in portrait on phones? Lighting matters too, especially indoors. Share your idea, the venue and the dates, and we'll talk through what will photograph well and how the piece can be moved or stored.

Questions
Where should the logo go on a selfie wall?
Somewhere it will still be in shot when people stand in front of it. Logos at head height get covered, so higher placement, a repeated pattern or a logo worked into the frame usually works better.
Does a photo installation need its own lighting?
Often, indoors. Overhead venue lighting can leave faces in shadow. Front lighting or illuminated elements make photos look better, and venues may have rules about power, so check early.
How is a photo installation different from a step-and-repeat wall?
A step-and-repeat is a flat, logo-patterned wall for press and red-carpet photos. A photo opportunity installation is more designed and often three-dimensional, meant for guests to enjoy and share.
